I recently tried something different while working through a business problem: I used ChatGPT as a panel of experts to help refine our Black Friday skydiving sale. Instead of just asking for ideas, I framed a structured discussion, much like I would with real marketing advisors.
Here’s how it worked—and how you can use the same approach.
1. The Setup
I picked well-known marketing and business thinkers: Philip Kotler, Seth Godin, and Dale Carnegie. Each represents a different lens—strategy, creativity, and human connection. Then, I framed questions to get their unique perspectives.

2. The Process
I shared details of our target customers, past campaigns, and the emotional triggers behind our messaging. ChatGPT, in turn, simulated responses from each “expert,” creating a back-and-forth dialogue that explored different fundamental ideas.
3. What I Learned
The key insights that came out of this were:
• Emphasizing the emotional connection—skydiving isn’t just a thrill, it’s a celebration.
• Analyzing past campaign data—understanding what worked, what didn’t, and why.
• Refining how we tell our story—both in ads and at the drop zone itself.
4. How You Can Apply This
If you’re tackling a complex problem in your business, try this:
• Pick a panel of experts (real or hypothetical).
• Frame your challenge as a discussion, rather than just looking for quick answers.
• Focus on foundational principles instead of tactics.
• Look for blind spots—areas where you might have missed an opportunity.
This approach helped refine our campaign and gave me new ideas for future marketing efforts. It’s a way to push beyond the obvious answers and get fresh, structured thinking—without needing an in-person brainstorming session.
Have you tried using AI for problem-solving? If so, how has it worked for you?
