On May 9, 2019 the Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) awarded Little Engine Ventures (LEV) the Impact award for the Hoosier Heartland region. Monty Henderson, Regional Director, nominated the investment partnership for their role in preserving and growing small businesses in the region. LEV utilized the ISBDC to conduct market research on various industries in the community.

According to the ISBDC service page they provide “clients with the ability to access the same demographic profiles large corporations use when making marketing and relocation decisions.” The ISBDC is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration and local taxes.
The Greater Lafayette Commerce (GLC) joined ISBDC and LEV at the award ceremony.
