We buy and own businesses for the long term. We are able to do this because we have an evergreen investment partnership and strong ownership from the founders. While this limits our growth rate in the short term it makes it feasible for us to exist long term. How? Our partners can enter and exit at controlled intervals. Also, they are also small business owners, too. With a few exceptions most are experienced operators, also. They understand the ups and downs of running a company. They bought or built their company themselves and want to participate in other local businesses but don’t want the day-to-day management headache of being in control. For those that don’t check these boxes, they’ve been very close to the person that was.
